Job Description
Logistics & Materials Lead

The Logistics & Materials Lead is responsible for ensuring the reliable, safe and cost-effective delivery of logistics and materials services that support onshore and offshore operations, including decommissioning activities support.

Key Information
  • Location: Aberdeen
  • Duration: 2 year contract

Responsibilities
  • Lead integrated logistics planning across marine, aviation, road transport and supply base operations.
  • Coordinate the movement of personnel, equipment and materials to support offshore activities.
  • Manage logistics and warehousing service providers to deliver agreed performance, safety and cost outcomes.
  • Administer logistics-related contracts and identify opportunities for service improvement and value creation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee material movements, returns and recovery processes.
  • Optimise stock availability while reducing surplus inventory and associated costs.
  • Ensure compliant storage, handling, transport and disposal of materials, including hazardous goods.
  • Coordinate vessel and helicopter schedules to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Support mobilisation, demobilisation and emergency logistics readiness.
  • Provide technical oversight for marine and aviation logistics activities.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, end use controls and applicable legal requirements.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyse logistics performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in operational support and on call arrangements as required.
  • Support emergency response activities by coordinating logistics, personnel, equipment and material movements to ensure operational readiness and effective incident response.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with contracts activities (strategy, sourcing, contracts management, etc.).
  • Experience in marine operations planning.
  • Experience in aviation operations planning.
  • Competent user of business systems, SAP, MS Office.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of appropriate legislation, best practices and guidelines.
  • Ability to manage third parties to deliver in line with business expectations.
  • Educated to degree level - relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
Preferred / Additional Requirements
  • Vantage system - Admin Training.
  • Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Sea and Air certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc.) - preferred but not essential.
