Due to planned growth, my client is seeking a locum Private Client Solicitor to join their team in London.
Assignment Details
• Locum position
• Initial duration: 3 months
• High likelihood of extension or potential permanent route
• Hybrid arrangement with preferred office attendance Tuesday-Thursday
• Immediate start preferred.
The Opportunity
The incoming solicitor will join the Probate arm of a rapidly scaling company known for delivering a more human and technology-enabled approach to estate administration and estate planning. The role sits at the heart of their legal service, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clients receive clear, compassionate and streamlined support.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage a full probate caseload, including complex grant-only and estate administration matters.
• Serve as the main client contact, conducting initial calls and providing clear, empathetic guidance throughout.
• Support estate planning matters such as wills, with potential involvement in trusts where relevant.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver a smooth client experience.
• Assist with the improvement of templates, workflows and processes suited to a fast-paced environment.
• Support additional projects that naturally arise within a high-growth setting.

Requirements
• Qualified Private Client Solicitor with strong, demonstrable probate experience (essential).
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, modern, tech-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and compassionately.
• STEP qualification (advantageous but not essential).
