Locum OMFS Consultant Surgeon

We are seeking a highly motivated and forward thinking Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a specialist interest in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstruction to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHP). This is a 12 month fixed term locum post which includes an on call commitment and offers a dynamic, expanding department. There may be an opportunity to extend the contract and support to follow the Portfolio pathway may also be given.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and develop our surgical head and neck oncology service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, apply evidence based practice and drive continuous service improvement.
• Perform anterior skull base resections and joint neurosurgical procedures (highly desirable).

Qualifications

• Evidence of OMFS training.
• On the GMC Specialist list in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, or within 6 months of eligibility for inclusion.

Experience

• Evidence of ability to perform sub speciality procedures.
• Demonstrate wide based knowledge.
