Locum GP - Wareham area, Dorset Background

We are working with a GP practice in Dorset to find a Locum GP to support their clinical team on specific dates in September and October, with the potential for ongoing regular sessions. The practice is situated in a semi-rural village setting in Dorset, within easy reach of Poole, Dorchester and Weymouth. This is a well-regarded, dispensing practice with a strong reputation for patient care, offering a supportive and friendly working environment.

Salary - £700-£750 per day

The Practice

• Small practiceDispensing practice serving a large proportion of its patient list
• GMS contract, part of a local Primary Care Network
• Rated Good by the CQCLong-standing GP partners and salaried GPs supported by practice nurses, healthcare assistants and administration staff
• SystmOne

Your role

• Dates required: 11th and 18th September, 9th and 23rd October 2026
• Hours of work: 08:30 - 18:00
• Mix of face-to-face and telephone appointments, 15-minute slots
• Home visits not usually required
• Self- generated and practice admin required
• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performers List
