Locum General and Paediatric Radiology Consultant

Key Responsibilities are to: Provide consultant-level paediatric radiology services, including reporting of paediatric radiographs, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI examinations. Support neonatal, inpatient, outpatient and emergency paediatric imaging pathways, working closely with paediatricians, neonatologists, paediatric surgeons and safeguarding teams. Participate in non-accidental injury (NAI) imaging pathways and provide specialist paediatric radiology input to multidisciplinary teams. Contribute fully to the adult general radiology service, including acute cross-sectional imaging, ultrasound, duty radiologist activities and MDT participation. Participate in the general radiology consultant on-call rota (currently approximately 1 in 24 - 26), providing support for both adult and paediatric emergency imaging services. Contribute to teaching, audit, governance, quality improvement and service development activities. We welcome applications from candidates who: Hold GMC registration with a licence to practise. Hold FRCR (or equivalent) and CCT in Clinical Radiology (or equivalent specialist accreditation). Have specialist training and experience in Paediatric Radiology. Are competent in acute adult general radiology and willing to participate fully in adult duty and on-call commitments. Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
