Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and progressive Obstetrics and Gynaecology service in Ayrshire for a period of 12+ months. The post is a predominately Obstetrics post with a regular antenatal clinic and a scan list (Should the candidate have the required experience). The post has contribution to both obstetrics on call shared between a team of 20 consultants. We see the successful candidate as an individual with leadership skills who will engage with and help develop our service, specifically with respect to quality improvement and safety.
Qualifications and RequirementsApplicants must hold full GMC registration with a License to Practice and must be on the Specialist Register. RCOG ATSM qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Advanced Labour Ward Practice/ Fetal Medicine/ Fetal care/ Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy would be desirable.
Terms and ConditionsThe terms and conditions of service are those determined by the new Consultant contract (Scotland 2004) and the post offers a 10 programmed activity basis.
