Job Description
Locum Consultant in Anaesthetics (secondment cover)

We are looking to appoint a 2 year fixed term Consultant Anaesthetist. This is a replacement post for one of our long standing, much respected colleagues who is on career break. The post comprises of a weekly average of 9 PA's of clinical work including admin and 1 SPA's spread primarily through elective and emergency anaesthetics

The successful candidate will join a department that is friendly, engaged and provides excellent training and mentor support. The team comprises of 43 Consultants, 9 SAS Grades, up to 24 Trainees. The successful appointee will work as an integral part of the team and have equal access to junior staff.

East Surrey is the principle hospital for emergencies and inpatients, with day case surgery at Crawley Hospital. Anaesthetists are expected to be available across both hospital sites dependant on operational requirements.
