Locum Consultant Gynaecologist and Reproductive Medicine

Role Overview

Locum Consultant Gynaecologist and Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Subspecialist (9.5 PA) for a 6 month period, with prospects to substantiate the post. The role primarily involves operating lists and clinics in the WFC Fertility Unit at Hammersmith Hospital and on call duties in the IVF unit and general gynaecology.

Main Duties

• Weekly operating list in the WFC Fertility Unit
• Weekly egg collection and embryo transfer lists
• Fertility and general gynaecology clinics
• On call commitment at St Mary's and Wolfson Fertility Unit (weekend egg collection/embryo transfer)

Key Requirements

• On GMC's register with a Licence to Practice (or eligible to apply)
• RCOG Sub specialist accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery
• Admitted to GMC Specialist Register within six months of interview or already admitted
• Appropriate Royal College membership
• MD, PhD or equivalent

Essential Skills

• Clinical expertise in reproductive medicine and surgery
• Proficiency with IT and computer systems
• Leadership: ability to lead, motivate and manage staff
• Knowledge of finance/budget management
• Teaching and training of undergraduate, postgraduate and junior staff
• Understanding of clinical audit principles
• Able to speak and write English to the required standard

Remuneration

£113,565 to £150,569 per annum WTE (dependent on experience).
