Locum Consultant Dermatologist

Dermatology Locum Consultant - Fixed Term (6 months)

Location: Churchill Hospital, Oxford (Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). Working 10 sessions per week (10 PAs). Salary: £109,725 - £145,478 per annum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver out patient dermatology care in the department of Dermatology, Churchill Hospital.
• Attend PA sessions and support clinical activity in outreach clinics across the Trust.
• Participate in ward rounds and in patient cover, including supervising the non resident registrar on call rota.
• Provide clinical input to the department's audit programme and teaching activities.
• Maintain excellent links with primary care and other specialists.

Requirements and skills

• Full GMC registration and licence to practise; driving licence.
• MRCP or equivalent and an MSc/PhD in dermatology (or equivalent).
• CCST/CCT or registration on GMC Specialist Register in Dermatology, or CESR, or within 6 months of achieving CCT.
• General training in dermatology to consultant level or equivalent.
• High competence in diagnosis, management of skin cancer, dermoscopy, skin cancer surgery, and biologic therapy.
• Evidence of leadership, team management, and quality governance at a consultant level.
• Experience in teaching, research, and publication in peer reviewed journals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
