Job Description

National Locums is hiring a Consultant Dermatologist on a locum or full-time basis. This position is based in London within an NHS/private hospital setting.

Compensation

The pay rate ranges from £800 to £2000 per day, depending on the candidate's experience. Payments can be processed through a limited company or self-employed options via a private service provider. UK experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • See and treat patients with conditions such as minor-ops, Botox and fillers, biologics, and 2-week wait clinics.
  • Share clinical responsibilities within the department, with flexible hours including part-time, full-time, or weekends.
  • Supervise nurse-led clinics.
  • Provide management advice to GPs where appropriate.
Job Details

The position is based on a 10 PA contract, but applications for 1-2 days per week are welcome.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Broad expertise in medical and surgical dermatology, including management of acute dermatoses.
  • Special interest and expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Experience
  • Equivalent to UK CCST in Dermatology.
  • Ability to provide expert opinions on dermatological issues.
  • Independent responsibility for patient care.
  • Experience supervising care of patients with chronic skin conditions.
  • Supervised training in an appropriate SpR training programme or equivalent.
