Locum Consultant Cardiology DR - Portiuncula University Hospital - Galway

Direct Medics are currently recruiting for a Consultant Cardiologist to undertake a locum assignment at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

Dates: Tuesday 27th October to Monday 9th November 2026 (inclusive)

The successful candidate will provide:

• Inpatient cardiology consultations
• Outpatient cardiology clinics
• Cover for Prof. Aidan Flynn and Dr. Nuria Farre

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well established cardiology service in a busy acute hospital serving the West of Ireland.

Essential Requirements

• Valid IMC Registration
• Right to Work in the Republic of Ireland
• Minimum 6 months of medical experience in this role or a similar role within the UK or Ireland
