Locum Childcare SARS Officer - Full Time - Up to £30 per hour umbrella - Remote Working - Initial 3 months+

Venn Group's specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Childcare SARS Officer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month assignment. The role offers a fully remote working arrangement and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Information Governance professional to support a busy team.

The Role

Position: Locum Childcare SARS Officer
Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £30 per hour umbrella
Working Pattern: Full Time, Remote working

Duties will include

• Handling a backlog of Subject Access Requests (SARs)
• Managing requests primarily relating to childcare and social care matters
• Ensuring all Information Requests are managed and resolved within statutory timeframes
• Liaising with internal departments to obtain information and ensure timely responses
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience working in an Information Governance role within a Public Sector or Local Authority setting
• Strong working knowledge of Data Protection legislation, FOI, and SAR processes
• Experience handling sensitive childcare and social care information
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
