Job summary

We are seeking a skilled administrator to manage referrals and queries into the Penwith Integrated Community Team. The role involves working across multiple referral systems and acting as the first point of contact for patients, carers and health and social care professionals.

  • Contract: Permanent, part time 16 hours per week (days to be discussed)
  • Location: Hayle Community Centre, Hayle (may also need to attend Penzance base)

Responsibilities
  • Interrogate health and social care systems to gather information to aid clinical triage.
  • Answer phone queries and emails into the service.
  • Register and discharge patients to the relevant CFT system.
  • Access the referral management system.
  • Collaborate with other administrators to ensure smooth running of clinical services.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and carry out relevant administrative duties.
  • Provide support for the Penwith Community Team, which includes the Community Nurse Team, Rehabilitation Team, Home First Team and Community Matron Team covering Hayle, Marazion, St Ives and Penzance.
Eligibility
  • Applicants must currently work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.
  • Eligible organisations: Cornwall Foundation Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board.
Qualifications & Experience
  • GCSE Maths and English at grades A C or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 3 Administration or equivalent experience.
  • RSA level 3 Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Experience communicating with a wide range of people.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience within an administrative setting.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Initiative and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of CFT IT systems (e.g. RiO, Strata).
  • Time management and prioritisation.
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
