Job Overview

Hours: 5 hours per week.

Contract: Part Time, Term Time plus 5 Inset days and 10 additional days, Permanent.

Salary: JG5, SCP12 to SCP19, £28,598 - £32,061.

Actual Salary: £3,542.71 - £3,971.71 per week.

Location: 0900 - Churchill Academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing agendas in consultation with the Chair and Headteacher to ensure meetings are structured and focused.
  • Accurately recording and distributing meeting minutes to document the decisions and actions of the Local Governing Body.
  • Maintaining statutory records to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Offering procedural and legislative guidance to governors to support lawful and transparent operations.
  • Acting as a key liaison between the governing body, the school's leadership team and the wider trust.
  • Contributing significantly to the strategic oversight and continuous improvement of the school.
  • Participating in the wider network of Local Governance Professionals to share knowledge and engage in ongoing training.

The Trust

The Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP) is a Multi Academy Trust that has experienced rapid growth since it started in 2016. There are currently 30 schools in the Trust. The Trust is cross phase and includes Infant, Junior, Primary and Secondary schools. It is a mixed MAT and includes both non denominational and Church of England schools.
