Local Authority Housing Income Project Officer, North West London Pay rate to £28.19 per hour Contract role, Local Authority Housing Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Housing Income Project Officer in North West London. You will need to have experience in a similar role in a Local Authority and be able to demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of local authority statutory and support services related to benefits and rent and knowledge of welfare benefits and related issues, including Universal Credit Overview:

• To keep up to date on welfare benefit entitlements, particularly housing related benefits and all changes due to Welfare Reform.

• To advise and assist clients across tenures on welfare benefits - to offer advice and encourage debt counselling and refer tenants to specialist advice.

• To work with staff across Housing Needs, Housing Management and Adult Social Care to provide a seamless service that is person centred and maximises income while ensuring that the holistic needs of a client are met.
