- Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 5:00pm
- Alternate Saturdays: 7:00am - 12:00pm
- Evening Shift : 5:00pm - 5:00am

About the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Loading Shovel Operator to support daily operations at our Glenside site. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy plant machinery, particularly a loading shovel, to ensure the smooth and safe movement of materials across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-start checks on the loading shovel and other plant equipment; report and document any defects.
- Operate the loading shovel to support material processing operations.
- Feed materials into process machinery such as shredders or screeners.
- Refuel and carry out general maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
- Move and maintain material stockpiles.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Comply with all company health & safety procedures and site rules.
- Carry out other duties as required by management.
Person SpecificationEssential Criteria:
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy plant machinery
- Strong commitment to health and safety compliance
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport (may be required to travel between sites)
Desirable Criteria:
- Valid Loading Shovel Licence
- Previous experience working in the waste or recycling industry
- Familiarity with processing equipment such as screeners or shredders
