Job Description

Litigation Secretary - Belfast (Hybrid), Belfast (Hybrid Working Model). Our client is a prestigious national law firm with a strong presence across the UK and a growing litigation team in Belfast. Role Overview

As a Litigation Secretary, you will provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to a busy team of litigation solicitors. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of case files, preparing documentation, managing communications and assisting with court and case related processes.

This role offers hybrid working, combining office based collaboration with remote working flexibility to promote a strong work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide secretarial support to litigation solicitors, including typing letters, emails, court bundles and legal documents (high volume and high standard typing required). Prepare, format and proofread legal documents, court forms and correspondence in accordance with firm templates and style. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and emails on behalf of fee earners. Maintain accurate case files and records (both paper and electronic), ensuring documents are filed correctly. Assist with diary management, scheduling meetings, court dates and appointments. Arrange and prepare court bundles and serve documents as required. Answer client and professional telephone calls with a professional manner and provide general administrative support to the team. Support wider administrative and reception functions as required.

Person Specification

Essential:

Prior experience in a legal secretarial or litigation support role (ideally within a law firm). Excellent typing/audio typing skills with strong formatting ability. High level of PC literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel; case management systems advantageous). Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and prioritise tasks. Professional and organised approach, with excellent attention to detail. Desirable:

Knowledge of litigation terminology and court processes. Experience with digital bundle preparation or e filing systems.
