The RoleWe are seeking a Line Manager responsible for supporting and leading a department and team to deliver an excellent shopping experience for our customers. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will ensure we serve Ireland's shoppers a little better every day.
Key Responsibilities- Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
- Manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager/Deputy Manager
- Ensure team training and validation in their roles
- Foster two-way communication and a culture of trust
- Coach colleagues to meet daily priorities and customer needs
- Review reports and systems to improve customer and colleague experience
- Drive a culture of zero food waste, managing date codes and food safety
- Recruit passionate colleagues committed to excellent service
- Understand and deliver cleaning standards
- Manage stock control, warehouse layout, and routines for first-time accuracy
- Address pricing discrepancies and ensure correct customer charges
- Manage front-end operations to minimize queues
- Recognize and provide feedback on service quality
Demonstrated track record in:
- Delivering excellent customer and colleague experiences
- Being adaptable and agile in thinking
- Achieving objectives in fast-paced environments
- Handling queries effectively
- Shaping and influencing at senior levels
- Previous retail experience in a similar role (preferred)
