Essential Experience

• Proven experience developing with Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS, with experience of at least one of:
  • SampleManager v12.1
  • SampleManager v21.3 (target upgrade version)
• Strong experience of heavily customised SampleManager environments, not just standard configuration.
• Experience across LIMS development, configuration, workflows and system integration.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory processes, sample life cycles and LIMS solutions.
• SQL and relational database experience; Oracle experience desirable, with PostgreSQL relevant to the target platform.
• Experience with VGL, C#/.NET and SQL.
• Experience developing APIs/web services and integrating LIMS with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems.
• Experience with SampleManager tools such as Entity Designer/Explorer, Workflow Designer, Forms, Labels, Reports and Dashboards.
• Experience across the software development life cycle, including testing, deployment, troubleshooting, support and version control.
• Understanding of data integrity, audit trails, electronic signatures and validation within regulated environments.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards such as GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 17025 and GMP.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with scientists and laboratory staff.

Desirable

• Experience with both SampleManager v12.1 and v21.3.
• Experience integrating SampleManager with ERP, MES, ELN, SDMS and laboratory instruments.
• Experience with REST/SOAP, XML and HTTP-based integrations.
• Experience with Windows Server and on-premise/cloud LIMS deployments.
• Knowledge or previous experience of APHA and its laboratory environment.
