Location: Bolton Salary: £112.50 per day Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full Academic Year (Long-Term Opportunity) Educato Recruitment are proud to be working with a highly regarded specialist secondary school in Bolton, seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September.
The Role- Provide 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
- Support pupils both in the classroom and during practical and vocational lessons.
- Help pupils develop communication, emotional regulation and social skills.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual EHCP outcomes.
- Encourage independence while providing consistent support where required.
- Build positive relationships with pupils who may present with additional behavioural or communication needs.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to deliver high-quality support.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH, MLD, SLD or communication needs is highly advantageous.
- Calm, resilient and able to remain positive in challenging situations.
- Confident using initiative and adapting to the individual needs of pupils.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- £112.50 per day.
- Full-time, Monday-Friday role.
