Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in the L5 area on a long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide general classroom support in a Reception class, assisting with day-to-day learning activities and delivering engaging phonics and reading sessions. You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team who are passionate about creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Your Key Responsibilities- Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and pupils.
- Support the learning and development of Reception pupils through structured play, group work, and guided reading.
- Assist with the delivery of phonics and early reading activities.
- Encourage inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.
- Support lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and assessment activities.
- Recent and relevant experience working in an educational or childcare setting.
- A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification - CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent.
- A passion for supporting early years learning, particularly literacy and phonics.
- Ability to follow direction from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team.
