Job Description
Level 2 Nursery Teaching Assistant - September 2026 Start (NF-68-1)

Location: Stockton-on-Tees, England. Sector: Education & Training. Salary £140.00 to £200.00 per hour. Benefits: flexibility and bonus.

Great Ayton, Middlesbrough. Start Date: September 2026. Hours per week: 27.5 (Term Time Only + 5 Training Days). Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2027.

Working Hours
  • Monday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • Friday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
The Role
  • Support children within the nursery setting through play based learning activities.
  • Assist the Room Leader in creating an engaging, stimulating, and inviting learning environment.
  • Support children's welfare, development, and wellbeing.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and families.
  • Encourage children to develop confidence, independence, and curiosity.
  • Contribute positively to the nursery team and wider school community.
We're Looking For
  • Level 2 Early Years Qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
  • A caring, patient, and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and initiative.
  • A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting young children.
  • Someone who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a smile every day.
