Legionella Risk Assessor
Location: South of England (National travel, occasional hybrid working)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our consultancy team. Reporting to the Head of Consultancy Services and Senior Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service to our clients, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence.

This is a site-based role with national travel and occasional hybrid working options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Legionella Risk Assessment surveys.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with industry regulations.
  • Perform cleaning and disinfection of water systems.
  • Carry out water sampling and analysis, ensuring UKAS-accredited compliance.
  • Complete site inspections and audits.
  • Deliver works on schedule, meeting SLAs and client expectations.
  • Provide technical advice to customers and mentor junior team members.
  • Produce accurate, professional technical reports.
  • Adhere to industry guidelines, client requirements, and Health & Safety regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in water hygiene, water treatment, or Legionella risk management.
  • Strong understanding of UK water hygiene legislation (ACoP L8, HSG274, British Standards).
  • Solid technical background in risk assessment and water treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to pass an enhanced DBS.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Valid UK driving licence with willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.

(We may consider candidates without consultancy experience if they have relevant water hygiene/treatment expertise.)
