Legal Risk and Compliance Officer

As Compliance Officer you will focus on both the 'what' and the 'how' of the content areas within the Conduct Compliance & Ethics team and by doing so you will be contributing to DBNL's vision 'sustainable progress for all' and empowering ING to be compliant by desire and design.You ensure follow-up, advice and challenging towards the team for the topics within your content areas and acts as a coach for the team members. You assist the Expert Lead in the operational management (such as reporting) and provide perspective on decision-making to improve the organization with clearer reporting lines and enhanced coordination in case of audits, senior management requests, etc. Lastly, you contribute to the team deliverables and KPIs by working as an expert together with the team members.The TeamAs Compliance Officer you are part of the Conduct Compliance & Ethics (CC&E) team, responsible for content areas within that team. Together with the Expert Lead of CC&E and the team, you are responsible for identifying and assessing compliance risk topics and areas of attention (based on the compliance matrix), setting risk-based priorities, re-evaluating them both periodically and ad hoc, and ensuring proper compliance risk management. This also requires good stakeholder management, towards the business stakeholders and within the Risk and Compliance community.As a Compliance Officer in Conduct Compliance & Ethics, you will report hierarchically to the Expert Lead Conduct Compliance & Ethics.Roles and responsibilities You are assisting to the steering and managing of the risk-based priorities with regard to the tribe mortgages;You use comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training the mortgages tribe on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations and ING policies;You steer collaboration between the content areas and the other parts of the compliance Tribe;You follow up on, advice on and challenge the compliance risks associated within the content area, shall define the applicable compliance requirements, establish mandatory policies, and/or written mandatory guidance on the appropriate implementation and embedment of compliance-related requirements;You advise and instruct business stakeholders on compliance-related requirements, assists them in educating on how to mitigate compliance risks, and escalate identified issues in order to maintain compliance with laws and regulations and remain within DBNL's risk appetite; andYou assist in the continuous update of our compliance program, policies & procedures and work instructions for the team;Navigate distractions and politics to deliver on objectives effectively for the content area.As a Compliance Officer in Conduct Compliance & Ethics, you have the following traits and experience:You are a Compliance expert with at least 2+ years professional experience in Mortgages in and overall 4+ years professional experience Compliance, Risk and/or NFR within a banking environment;You have a solid knowledge of the Dutch rules and regulations with regard to mortgages;andYou have an excellent level of English and Dutch (verbal/written).A salary tailored to your qualities and experience24-27 vacation days depending on contractPension scheme13th month salary8% Holiday paymentMobility cardHybrid workingPersonal growth and challenging work with endless possibilitiesAn informal working environment with innovative colleaguesAbout usCurious about how ING empowers people and businesses to move forward?
