We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with extensive experience in Child Care Law, capable of leading a team supporting Child Care Law, Adult Social Care, and SEND. This role offers an opportunity to influence the future of our Children and Community Services Team and Legal Services. We value an innovative, fast-paced, positive, and solution-oriented approach.
In addition to team leadership, you will provide high-quality legal advice, guidance, and representation to our client departments on various matters related to child protection legislation.
We desire a leader who demonstrates professionalism, can work under pressure, is adaptable to client needs, and possesses excellent communication skills. The ability to work effectively across all levels of the council, including with elected members, senior leadership, and external stakeholders, is essential.
You must be a qualified solicitor/barrister or CILEX with or entitled to a practising certificate, along with significant post-qualification and advocacy experience.
