MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting for a Legal Executive Assistant on behalf of a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional or paralegal to join a busy HR Operations team, providing specialist legal and administrative support across a range of employment law matters. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting litigation, legal research, case preparation, and employment related proceedings.
The Role- Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law matters.
- Prepare, review and organise legal documentation, correspondence, contracts and witness statements.
- Manage case files, legal databases and litigation bundles to a high standard.
- Support employment related legal proceedings, including attendance at tribunals and hearings where required.
- Provide high quality administrative support and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Assist senior management with legal matters and employment case preparation.
- A 3rd level qualification (HND or Degree, or equivalent) in a relevant subject (e.g., Law; Paralegal Practice).
- One year's experience of providing end to end legal administrative support for complex employment law litigation in the legal, public or private sector.
- One year's experience of researching and analysing complex legal information in relation to employment matters, and producing high quality summaries for senior managers, legal counsel and other stakeholders.
- Current driving licence and a private vehicle available for official business or access to a form of transport which will enable the postholder to meet the requirements of the role.
- Two years' relevant experience in respect of criterion 2 and criterion 3 above.
- Membership of the Institute of Paralegals.
- Location: Belfast.
- 12 month fixed term contract with a large public sector organisation.
