Legal Counsel (6 Month Contract) - Public Procurement / Commercial Contracts
Location: Hybrid (3 days/week) - London
Start: ASAP (by mid-September preferred)
Day Rate: Competitive, depending on experience
Accuflex has a great opportunity for a talented and motivated Solicitor with experience in commercial contracts to join our client, an insurance company based in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a compact and dynamic in-house legal team, supporting a key function during a period of increased demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including IT/SaaS, consultancy, and procurement agreements.
- Public Procurement: Advise on public procurement matters and support compliant contracting under relevant frameworks.
- Risk Management: Assess legal and commercial risks and provide practical mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor across business units, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Legal Support: Provide pragmatic and commercially sound legal advice across a broad spectrum of legal issues.
Required Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales).
- Strong experience in commercial contracting, with specific exposure to public procurement agreements would be ideal, but not essential.
- Comfortable working in regulated or public-private organizations.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with sound judgment.
