Job Description
Legal Counsel (11-Month Fixed-Term Contract) Cpl Group Dublin (Hybrid)

Salary: €65,000 + Benefits

Join Ireland's largest talent solutions provider as a Legal Counsel within Cpl Group's in house Legal team. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the role suits a confident lawyer who can work closely with stakeholders, manage a varied workload and balance legal risk with commercial objectives. Prior commercial contracts and/or corporate law experience or familiarity is desirable, and M&A, corporate reorganisation or wider corporate transaction experience is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities Commercial Contracts
  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on customer, supplier and other commercial agreements.
  • Support Group stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business objectives, legal requirements and Group policies.
  • Maintain contract templates, guidance notes, clause banks and playbooks.
Legal Advisory and Business Support
  • Provide practical legal advice on commercial, contract, competition, data protection and day to day legal matters.
  • Support the Senior Legal Counsel in identifying and managing legal risk and delivering practical guidance to the business.
Corporate, M&A and Reorganisation Support
  • Support corporate law matters, governance and corporate documentation.
  • Assist with M&A, integrations, restructurings and corporate reorganisation projects, including due diligence and transaction support.
Employment, Disputes and Case Management
  • Provide legal support on employment law matters and employee related queries.
  • Support disputes, pre litigation matters, regulatory requests and other ad hoc legal work across the Group.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential
  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in Ireland and/or Northern Ireland.
  • Strong commercial contract drafting, negotiation and advisory skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Desirable
  • Prior in house legal experience or experience advising business stakeholders in a commercial environment.
  • Experience in commercial contracts, corporate law, M&A or corporate transactions.
  • Familiarity with contract law, company law, competition law, data protection, employment law and experience working with cross functional teams.
