Job Description
About TPV Technology

TPV Technology is one of the world's leading manufacturers of TVs, monitors, sound products, and professional displays. As an original design manufacturer (ODM), we partner with globally recognized brands and distribute products under our own brands, including AOC and Envision. Through our subsidiaries TP Vision and MMD, we also design, produce, and sell Philips-branded monitors, TVs, and sound products under a brand license agreement with Philips.

Our European headquarters is based in Amsterdam, from where we oversee a diverse portfolio of consumer and professional products sold across Europe and beyond. Innovation, quality, and long term partnerships are at the heart of everything we do - enabling millions of consumers worldwide to experience better visual and audio technologies every day.

Your Role

As Legal Counsel, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping TPV's legal strategy across Europe. You'll act as a trusted advisor to management and business teams, balancing risk management with enabling commercial growth.

This position offers a wide scope - from drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements to advising on corporate governance, GDPR, and the evolving EU AI Act. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and external counsel to ensure TPV's operations remain compliant, forward looking, and strategically aligned with business objectives.

It's an excellent opportunity for a mid senior lawyer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and direct impact - someone who prefers to be close to the business rather than behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice to business units across Europe.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including distribution, purchasing, sales, R&D, marketing, IT, software licensing, and financing contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and the EU AI Act.
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors.
  • Handle legal disputes and settlements.
  • Monitor legal trends and ensure business activities remain compliant.
  • Advise management on company law, corporate governance, legal strategy, and statutory requirements.
  • Support corporate restructuring, M&A, and other strategic initiatives.
Your Profile
  • University degree in Law.
  • 5-8 years of legal experience, including time at a law firm and in house counsel roles within international business environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch law (Dutch Civil Code and relevant EU legislation).
  • Broad legal expertise, especially in commercial contracts, sales & distribution, consumer rights, and software/apps.
  • Experience with GDPR and AI compliance.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is preferred.
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to legal problem solving.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, multicultural environment.
What We Offer
  • A challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic, innovative company.
  • Opportunities to develop broad legal skills and grow with the business.
  • Competitive gross annual salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Hybrid working policy with flexibility to work from home and our Amsterdam office.
