Job Description

The role holder will work as part of an established Legal Team supporting various business units in providing legal advice, negotiating, drafting, and executing commercial contracts related to the manufacture of Defence-related products and services. This will include matters such as:

  • General Defence-related work
  • Competition law
  • IT contracting
  • Product safety and product liability

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be a UK-qualified Solicitor or Barrister with approximately 1 to 8 years of PQE, based on the level of work and compensation. They will have experience in one of the following areas:

  • A proven background in non-contentious commercial law gained at a major law firm or appropriate in-house experience
  • Experience assessing and advising on legal and regulatory risks, as well as drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts in an international environment
  • A good understanding of commercial legal principles and business practices across various international markets

Desirable Skills

  • Specialist skills such as UK Government contracting/defence sector experience, competition law, IT contracting, or product safety and liability experience
