Legal Claims Handlers - Multiple Opportunities

Salary: Up to £42,000, depending on experience and role, plus an extensive benefits package

Skills and Experience

• Recent experience handling UK-based insurance or legal claims, with a background in personal injury, serious injury, credit hire, complex recoveries, motor claims or defendant/claimant litigation.
• Strong working knowledge of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims, liability assessment and claims investigation.
• Experience handling litigated claims, with the ability to assess evidence, identify risks and determine appropriate case strategies.
• Working knowledge of liability issues, including the Road Traffic Act and Article 75.
• Experience in serious injury and/or motorcycle claims would be advantageous, depending on the role.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients, solicitors and other stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage a structured caseload, prioritise competing demands and meet key deadlines.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing evidence, financial information and legal documentation.
• Competence in using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
• A commercially minded, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• A strong understanding of compliance requirements, internal procedures and professional standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of high-value litigated claims, using the firm's case management system to monitor progress and maintain accurate records.
• Progress claims efficiently, ensuring all relevant actions, communications and deadlines are managed proactively.
• Provide timely, professional advice to clients, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations throughout the claims process.
• Assess liability, review evidence and develop appropriate strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Conduct settlement negotiations, adopting a commercially focused and pragmatic approach to risk assessment and resolution.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date case records.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to support team objectives and deliver an excellent client experience.
• Meet agreed performance, productivity and case lifecycle targets while maintaining high standards of quality and professional integrity.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
