Job Description
As a Legal Associate, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day legal affairs of an international group of companies. Working closely with the Group Legal Team, you act as a trusted legal partner for management and internal stakeholders, supporting a broad range of corporate, commercial, and employment law matters.This is a hands-on, all-round legal role in an entrepreneurial environment, offering significant exposure to international operations and decision-making. You will combine legal expertise with a business-oriented mindset, contributing directly to the stability, growth, and compliance of the group.
Key responsibilities
  • Advise on corporate and commercial law matters and support corporate housekeeping activities
  • Support and advise the HR department in the Netherlands on labour law - related topics
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, general terms & conditions, and internal guidelines (primarily in English, preferably also in Dutch)
  • Support the preparation of commercial offers and guide negotiations through to contract implementation
  • Provide legal advice on a broad range of topics, including regulatory matters, liability, labour law, company law, data protection, and commercial legal protection
  • Manage claims and litigation processes, including reporting and coordination
  • Liaise with external (international) legal advisors, authorities, and other relevant bodies
  • Handle correspondence with authorities, courts, business partners, and internal management
  • Prepare and communicate legally relevant information to group management, affiliated companies, and colleagues with legal responsibilities

You are comfortable operating independently in a complex international environment, while also enjoying close collaboration with colleagues across disciplines and cultures.You combine legal precision with pragmatism, take ownership of your work, and continuously look for ways to add value to the organization. Requirements & qualifications
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a strong preference
  • University degree in Law (preferably Dutch law)
  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience, ideally within an international commercial organization or a business-oriented law firm
  • Solid knowledge of corporate law, commercial law, contract law, and general commercial legal matters
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a broad perspective beyond legal theory
  • High standards of integrity, honesty, and accountability
  • Ability to work independently on complex matters and quickly grasp new topics
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels, across different cultures and nationalities
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Team player who is open to new business areas and continuous learning
