Lecturer in Nursing (E&S)
We are looking to appoint a Registered Nurse to the part-time (0.6 FTE, 21.9 hours per week) role of Lecturer in Nursing on a fixed term basis to cover a maternity until 24 December 2027.
Salary will be from £43,482 - £51,753 per annum (pro-rata for this part time appointment). We welcome applications from individuals interested in part time or shared working arrangements.
This role sits in the Academy of Nursing within the Department of Health and Care Professions in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

The role

This role will contribute to teaching predominantly in Nursing, within the Department of Health and Care Professions. You will join a thriving academic community at an important stage of the development of our portfolio and contribute to all aspects of the student journey, including recruitment, module leadership, session design and delivery, assessment, quality assurance and student support.

About you

• Possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a PhD (or nearing completion) or equivalent experience, of the core knowledge relating to this academic area in order to teach and support learning on relevant modules;
• Have experience in using a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students;
• Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities;
• Will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching;
• Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
