Location: Leek, ST13 6DP

Pay: £32,136.00 to £42,848.00 per year, pro rata

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 25.90 hours per week

Lecturer in GCSE & Functional Skills Maths at our Leek Campus. You will have a proven record of innovation and a proactive approach to delivery, and will be able to inspire learners to reach their full potential. You must hold a Maths or related degree and a teaching qualification at Level 5 (DTLLS or equivalent).

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Play an active role in raising the standard and awareness of Maths across the college.
  • Deliver excellent standards of teaching and learning across all areas within the curriculum area.
  • Engage in core duties, including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
  • Be involved in marketing of the College, Faculty and Department.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Has a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to obtain.
  • Has teaching experience, ideally within the FE Sector.
  • Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
  • Able to communicate effectively with students and peers.
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, and team player.
