Job Description

Hybrid Working: Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work more than 50% on campus.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a motivated and innovative team of academics, delivering high quality education in Diagnostic Radiography. Applications are invited from radiography practitioners with significant experience in clinical and/or academic teaching and learning.

The appointee will contribute to teaching and assessment across the undergraduate and postgraduate Diagnostic Radiography programmes in the School of Allied Health Professions and Nursing, utilising a broad range of teaching and learning strategies. This will include both classroom teaching, and practical teaching within our imaging and simulation suite at the university.

This post is based on a Teaching & Scholarship contract; while primarily a teaching post, the successful applicant will be required to undertake relevant research and scholarly activity, in alignment with the University's ambitions.

You should have a recognised professional Diagnostic Radiography qualification, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and have completed/be registered on, a Master's degree in a relevant subject area. Knowledge of current issues affecting clinical education and evidence of Continuing Professional Development are also essential.

For an informal discussion about this role, or to arrange a visit to see our campus and facilities, please contact Vicky Hughes, Professional Lead for Diagnostic Radiography
