Overview

Shape the radiographers of tomorrow while advancing your own academic, clinical and leadership career. The University of Plymouth is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographer to join our Diagnostic Radiography programmes within the Peninsula Medical School. This opportunity combines university teaching with ongoing clinical practice, enabling you to support students from their first simulation experiences through to achieving clinical excellence in real-world healthcare settings.

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
  • Deliver engaging teaching across undergraduate Diagnostic Radiography programmes, including lectures, simulation, practical skills training and clinical education.
  • Support and mentor students throughout their academic and clinical journey.
  • Provide practical clinical training and contribute to radiography services within partner imaging departments.
  • Work collaboratively with NHS and independent sector partners to enhance placement learning experiences.
  • Contribute to programme development, scholarship, quality assurance and wider academic activities within the School.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent).
  • Current HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • Significant UK clinical radiography experience and evidence of ongoing CPD.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary diagnostic imaging practice and HCPC education standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for developing and supporting future radiography professionals.
About the Role
  • Location: University of Plymouth & Partner Clinical Sites.
  • Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (18.5 hours per week).
  • Approximately one day per week (typically Friday during term time) will be spent within a clinical imaging department supporting student learning in practice.
  • Closing date: 12 midnight, Wednesday 5 August 2026.
