Job Description
Lecturer - Electrical Engineering

40 - 55 per hour Inside IR35

3 months Rolling (Potential full curriculum year)

Location - Tamworth

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineering Lecturer, Trainer or Assessor looking for your next looking for your next immediately available contract role?

Do you have experience working within further education, apprenticeships, or technical training, or are you an experienced Electrical Installation professional ready to pass on your knowledge?

You'll support apprentices and learners working towards their qualifications by delivering high-quality teaching, carrying out workplace assessments, providing coaching and mentoring, and helping learners achieve their full potential.

This role would suit someone with previous Lecturing experience who is looking for a position within a well-established college

The Role
  • EAL Unit 55: Engineering Design Process
  • EAL Unit 15: Engineering Maintenance
  • BTEC Unit 6: Microcontroller Systems for Engineers
  • BTEC Unit 4: Applied Commercial and Quality Principles in Engineering
  • BTEC Unit 10: Computer Aided Design in Engineering
  • Assess and support apprentices working towards NVQ and apprenticeship standards
  • Coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to learners
  • 40 - 50 -6 - 12 months
The Person
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • Current or previous industry experience working in Electrical engineering or similar industries
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training) and/or TAQA, A1/D32/D33 preferred, although not essential
  • Experience delivering training, lecturing, or assessing apprentices is advantageous
  • Able to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
