About the role: As a Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography in the Peninsula Medical School, you will: Contribute to teaching and assessment across a range of programmes, and your enthusiasm for your subject will extend to providing high quality teaching and mentoring, informed by excellent scholarship and your own experience. Work in close conjunction with colleagues within the Faculty, NHS and Independent sector to deliver a high-quality student learning experience across the programmes. Responsibilities- Lead a year 1 diagnostic radiography module
- Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate diagnostic radiography programmes through lectures, simulation, practical skills training and clinical education.
- Support and mentor students throughout their academic learning journey, including personal tutoring and assessment activities.
- Participate in programme development, scholarship, quality assurance activities and broader academic initiatives within the School.
For this role, you will need to be on site 2 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs. This is a part time maternity cover position, working 18.5 hours per week on a fixed term basis until 27/08/2027. There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. What we're looking for- BSc or equivalent in a relevant science subject.
- Experience of delivering high-quality research-led teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills, with a passion for supporting student success.
