We're looking for energetic, confident individuals to support pupils as a Learning Support Assistant. Your PE background will be a huge asset, especially when it comes to building relationships, encouraging participation, and supporting behaviour in a positive, active way.
What your day might look like- Supporting pupils in lessons, helping them stay focused and involved
- Using your energy and creativity to keep learners engaged
- Working 1:1 or with small groups who need extra support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong relationships
- Supporting both classroom learning and active sessions
- Helping create a fun, structured, and inclusive environment
You don't need years of classroom experience; this is about your mindset and transferable skills:
- A background in sport, coaching, or PE
- Confidence working with children or young people
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to motivatePatience, resilience, and a calm approach under pressure
- A team player attitude and willingness to learn
You already know how to:
- Build rapport quickly
- Manage behaviour through engagement and structure
- Keep energy high while staying in control
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, and resilience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
