We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive primary school in Chelmsford from September. This full time role will focus on supporting pupils transitioning into Year 1, making it ideal for someone with strong knowledge of early learning and Key Stage 1.
Qualifications- Previous experience working as an LSA or Teaching Assistant
- Strong experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Good understanding of the KS1 curriculum
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Ability to support children during key transition periods
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils, particularly those with SEN
- Support children transitioning from Early Years into Year 1
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environmentMonitor and report on pupil progress
- A welcoming and supportive school environment
