Hours: 27.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm teaching support, 12:00 - 1:00 pm lunch cover, 1:30 - 2:30 pm teaching support.
Contract: Fixed Term (1 st September 2026 - 31 st August 2027 or sooner)
Pay scale: JG4 - SCP 7 - 11 (£26,403 - £28,142 fte) (£17,236 - £18,371 pro rata)
Job OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Partner (Teaching and Learning Support) to join our friendly team. The role involves supporting a child with additional needs and the wider classroom, including lunchtime and nursing support.
Key Tasks- Support direct instructional support for pupils in whole class situations, small groups and individually following work plans created by the teacher/SENDCO.
- Deliver brief but intensive structured interventions to supplement classroom learning.
- Provide 'teaching triage' by roving the classroom, keeping pupils on task and flagging those needing further help for teacher support (assessment for learning).
- Help all pupils develop essential learning skills using scaffolding techniques such as the EEF framework.
- Assist teachers with planning, preparation, assessment, and other administrative tasks.
- Foster and develop supportive relationships with all children.
- Work as part of a team to support colleagues across the setting under the SENDCO, including intimate care when required.
- Deliver structured activities and supervision for pupils during lunch breaks with a focus on physical activities and behaviour management.
- Maintain ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to overall aims and objectives of the school and uphold safeguarding, protection, and safer working practices.
