Pay: £35,251 - £38,005 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum. Full time.

About the role To become a Learning and Skills Development Officer in our Engineering/Automotive department, we need someone who is experienced, logical and creative.

The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

Location: Based at Bromsgrove and Worcester campuses with travel to other campuses as required.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews and initial assessments to confirm programme suitability and starting points.
  • Visit employer premises to provide information, advice and guidance services, complete start and induction processes, H&S checks, negotiate Apprenticeship Delivery Plans, and conduct progress reviews.
  • Develop tailored training programmes and innovative delivery models to meet learner and employer needs.
  • Deliver high quality training and assessment in the classroom and workplace, supporting End Point Assessment preparation.
  • Complete timely and accurate administration: maintain learner files, reports and e portfolio systems.
  • Arrange off site learning, skills development and testing where required.
  • Maintain strong customer service through effective communication and responsiveness.
  • Support employer engagement through marketing and promotional activity.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of provision.
Key roles and accountabilities
  • Support Automotive Apprenticeship programmes from initial enrolment to End Point Assessment.
  • Manage individual learning and skills programmes to ensure timely completion.
  • Deliver accredited learning and assessment in college and workplace settings.
  • Perform audit compliant administration and maintain learner records.
  • Arrange learning and testing outside the workplace where appropriate.
  • Ensure mandatory external accreditation and up to date mandatory mandatories.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and up to date knowledge of eligibility, funding rules, audit requirements and mandatory mandatories.
  • Implement marketing and promotional activities to enhance employer engagement.
  • Support contract reviews and audits.
  • Identify improvements and implement evaluation systems to capture feedback from apprentices, employers and staff.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience required for the post.
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS check and mandatory references.
