Job overview

Working with the Learning Resources team, you'll provide vital administrative support so that colleagues can access high quality learning and development.

You'll play a key role in keeping the education function running smoothly. You will work closely with the wider Human Resources team and build strong relationships with internal and external partners. Your work will help ensure staff have the training and resources they need to deliver great care.

Main duties of the job

What you'll do:

  • Provide day to day administrative support for learning and development activities
  • Organise training sessions, meetings and events, including room and equipment setup
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and training materials
  • Communicate with staff and external partners to coordinate learning activity
  • Support process improvements and help ensure services run efficiently

  • Strong administration skills and confidence using Microsoft Office tools
  • Good organisation and ability to prioritise workload with minimal supervision

  • Experience working in an office or customer focused environment

Qualifications
  • NVQ level 3 Business Administration/Customer Services or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
  • Word processing to RSA 2 standard of European Computer Driving Licence (EDCL) or able to demonstrate appropriate level of skill
Knowledge & Experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a range of administration procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of a range of software programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general office procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of NHS training databases in particular ESR
  • Awareness of knowledge and skills framework
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Previous experience of working within a training environment
