The Opportunity

We're seeking a dynamic Leadership Development Manager to shape the future of leadership at Ocado Logistics. In this role, you will design a comprehensive leadership development strategy that empowers leaders and strengthens capabilities at every level -helping them grow, perform, and make a meaningful impact across our complex, diverse organisation of 16,000+ colleagues, spanning frontline, operational, and corporate leadership populations.

Reporting to the Head of People Experience you will define and drive the leadership development direction, strategy, and roadmap. Collaborating with senior leaders, people partners, and specialists across People Experience, you'll translate organisational priorities into commercially relevant, operationally grounded leadership programmes aligned to Ocado Logistics' culture and future ambitions.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced leadership development professional with a strong track record of designing leadership development programmes, talent development and high-impact learning journeys in complex, diverse organisations, including those with large front-line populations. You will have experience building programmes from inception, shaping initiatives that engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

What you'll be doing
  • Framework Governance: Architect and govern a scalable, design-first leadership framework rooted in core organizational competencies.
  • Talent Development: Design adaptive succession roadmaps that align high-potential growth with long-term business strategy.
  • Learning Architecture: Create high-impact, reproducible learning journeys and set pedagogical standards for all internal and external delivery.
  • Strategic Alignment: Translate executive insights and rigorous TNA into high-level design specifications and actionable roadmaps.
  • Impact Measurement: Establish ROI and effectiveness frameworks to drive continuous, data-led program improvement.
  • Partner Management: Oversee external suppliers and coaches to ensure quality, value, and alignment with leadership standards.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead projects from strategic design through to hands on delivery in a fast paced environment.
  • Leadership Advocacy: Champion a consistent leadership narrative and build capability across the entire organization.
What were looking for
  • Proven experience designing and delivering leadership development programmes end to end, ideally within complex or operational organisations - such as FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail, Aviation or similar.
  • Strong capability in both strategic programme design and hands on facilitation and delivery.
  • Experience building leadership development frameworks, curricula, or portfolios.
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management capability, with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate impact and demonstrate ROI.
  • Experience working with digital learning platforms, coaching models, and blended learning approaches.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where needed.
