Contract Type: Fixed Term (Initial 12-month period with possible extension)
Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week (open to Part-Time if suitable for the right candidate)
Salary: £28,000 per annum

Background

This role is for an initial 12-month period, but with a funding plan in place to extend if possible. Doorways are building on 28 years' experience in working with young people within our area. The project supports young people in their emotional health and well-being, and practical life skills. Doorways engages particularly with young people 11 to 18s and where appropriate, parents too. This post will be line managed by a voluntary management team, providing strategic leadership and operational guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out day to day project administrative duties
  • One to one listening/ mentoring - emotional well-being support for young people. (Most of these will take place within Huntcliff School, where there is a strong staff support network from 5 years established work)
  • Engage with local young people through our established After School's drop in at ECHO and Holiday activities.
  • Provide leadership and support for a team of volunteers, who will assist (where necessary) in the delivery of the project's services.
  • Implement the projects' policies and procedures in working with young people, to safeguard their welfare and the welfare of others.
  • Prepare necessary reports for Trustees and funding providers.
Holidays

The holiday year runs from 1st August to 31st July. Entitlement is 30 days including bank holidays (pro rata).
