Job Description
Overview

My client have asked me to find a senior vet to join their thriving, purpose-built practice with a loyal client base and a skilled, supportive team. They are working towards becoming a dedicated 24-hour centre for the region. The practice is spacious and modern, featuring five consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and fully equipped operating theatres. They offer the latest in veterinary technology, including ECG, in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and a full dental suite and also serve as a training practice for both nurses and graduate vets, offering a dynamic and educational environment.

Role and Hours

This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours per week, worked over four days with one in four weekends. They are happy to consider part-time applicants and are open to flexible working arrangements-just let us know what works best for you. From day one, you'll benefit from private medical insurance and a health cash plan that includes dental, optical, and physio cover, as well as access to a 24/7 private GP service. Life assurance is included at three times your salary. They also offer access to mental health support and counselling whenever you need it.

Benefits
  • Five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to six weeks with length of service, and an additional paid 'Day for You' to use however you choose.
  • Support for your clinical development with a £1,500 CPD allowance, three days' paid CPD leave, and access to internal CPD through Clinical Communities. Funded certificate opportunities are also available. RCVS, VDS, and BVA fees are fully covered.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients and provide clear, compassionate communication to clients.
  • Maintain professional and regulatory standards, prepare estimates, and work alongside the Practice Manager to ensure strong commercial performance.
  • Engage, mentor, and inspire the team, support their development, and share evolving best practices.
Qualifications
  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional care.
  • Collaborative mindset, commercial awareness, and the ability to foster a positive and progressive clinical culture.
