Lead User Researcher New Dublin

Role Overview

We're a team of 21 researchers embedded in Core Banking, Business Banking and other product teams at Monzo, collaborating closely with Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering. Led by Director Katherine Vaughan, research at Monzo is embedded within the Design organisation.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture a customer obsessed team culture, helping everyone to deeply understand our users and build products that meet their needs.
• Help hire other brilliant people across research, design, and beyond.
• Collaborate with global researchers to identify and deliver high impact work.
• Prioritise ruthlessly based on user needs and opportunity size.
• Set up research processes for the first time and evolve them as circumstances change.

Qualifications

• Experience building global products and excitement about creating something new with a world class team.
• Hands on experience with exploratory and evaluative qualitative research methods and an understanding of when to apply them.
• Experience leading research in a multidisciplinary team and making a demonstrable impact on product direction.
• Capability to run user testing in various settings, including mobile, lab and field environments.
• Strong communicator and facilitator, able to tell a story and share insights that influence solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Familiarity with quantitative research and understanding how user research informs metrics and team success.
• Understanding of robust research study design balanced with practical constraints and business goals.
