Position summary

As a CED technologist, you will participate in all aspects of the e-trading development life cycle, from designing a scalable architecture to deployment with a focus on stability and performance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Regularly provide technical guidance and support to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
  • Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas.
  • Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices in the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Influence peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
  • Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Lead projects independently and guide team members.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification in Java concepts and advanced experience, preferably with financial systems exposure.
  • Strong Java development skills and knowledge of Spring framework (Boot, MVC, Cloud).
  • Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services (MSK, EC2, Lambdas, etc.).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SSL/TLS certificates.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM.
  • Exposure to the financial industry, especially Futures & Options, is a plus.
  • Understanding of FIX protocol and workflow.
