GoDocly is building a next-generation platform designed to simplify the complexities of transfer pricing documentation. We help streamlining multinational companies by automating the creation, management, and review of tax documentation. Our technology intelligently extracts data from legal and financial documents and integrates AI-powered workflows to produce accurate, compliant reports, reducing manual effort and minimising risk. The Role

As Lead Software Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical development of the GoDocly platform. You will focus primarily on backend engineering, architecture, and integrations, especially around AI workflows. You'll build and maintain the APIs that support our core features and work closely with the founding team to align technical strategy with product goals.

While the emphasis is on backend work, you should be comfortable contributing to front-end development when needed, ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Laravel-based GoDocly platform
• Design, build, and maintain robust APIs to support AI-based document workflows
• Integrate external AI services for data extraction and document generation
• Collaborate with the product team on technical planning and feature implementation
• Maintain and improve infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines
• Guide and mentor (junior) developers as the team grows
• Core focus on backend development, but contribute to frontend development when necessary

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend engineering
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with integrating third-party AI tools or building AI-driven applications
• Comfortable with basic frontend development using modern frameworks
• A proactive, hands-on mindset and strong problem-solving ability
