Participate in product and software design discussions, working directly with other engineers, product and design teams, DevOps, and other stakeholders. Use well-reasoned, appropriate design patterns and best practices.
You will work closely with product managers, other software engineers, researchers, and various brand team members to ensure a seamless and positive user experience across all our digital platforms.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Technical Leadership: Help set technical direction, advocate for sustainable engineering practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaboration: Work effectively with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful products.
Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior and senior engineers, including code reviews, architectural decisions, and best practices.
End-to-End Execution: Lead the execution of features and projects from inception through design, implementation, delivery, and post-release iteration in an agile environment.
Technology Expertise: Lead the adoption of new tools, languages, and frameworks as required, while being adaptable and technology-agnostic.
Quality Assurance: Promote engineering best practices, including rigorous testing to ensure the quality, modularity, and maintainability of codebases.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and mentor others in problem-solving techniques.
Database Expertise: Have a strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, optimizing queries with SQL.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience as a software engineer or a similar role.
- Experience with testing web and mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases
